Msgr. Paul Russell, who was a deacon at St Joseph Parish in 1987, will be ordained a
bishop on Friday, June 3, 2016. He will become the Pope’s representative in Turkey. Msgr. Russell has requested to celebrate his first Mass as bishop here at St Joseph Parish on Saturday, June 4, at the 4 pm Vigil Mass.
This parish is special for him for he celebrated both his first Mass and his 25th Anniversary Mass here. We celebrate his ordination and look forward to his visit with us on

The historic ordination of Archbishop-elect Paul Russell on Friday, June 3, 2016 will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross at 2:00 p.m. The archbishop-elect will be the first priest of the archdiocese ordained for service as a nuncio (ambassador) in the Holy See’s diplomatic service.
