Proverbs 18:21 tells us Death and life are in the power of the tongue. The words we speak can greatly affect our actions even our entire body and even determine the course of our life. If the words we speak are continually negative full of fear, discouragement, doubt, and defeat we are setting the course for these things to take hold and become the norm. This can make us physically sick or emotionally drained. Certainly, in the world today there are many things that may cause us to fear or be discouraged. The good news is the word of God will show us how to counteract the negative and speak blessings over our lives.
